Affordable Estate Planning Fees
We generally charge a flat fee for estate planning services. We believe this is the best pricing model because it allows you, the consumer, to budget and plan accordingly for payment of your attorney’s fees. Hourly rates, on the other hand, can lead to unexpected bills that are far more than originally estimated. With a flat rate, the risk of going over the original estimate is on the attorney — not you.
The amount of the flat fee ultimately depends on the complexity of your estate. Although estate planning fees in Reno are determined on a case-by-case basis, here is a breakdown of the typical price range for estate planning:
Will Package
For estate plans that include a Last Will and Testament, Financial Power of Attorney, and a Healthcare Power of Attorney, the cost is generally in the range of $400 to $600 for an individual and $700 – $1,000 for a married couple.
Living Trust Package
For estate plans that include a Living Trust (in addition to the documents included in the Will Package), the cost is generally in the range of $1,200 to $1,700 for an individual and $1,800 to $2,200 for a married couple.
Wealth Preservation Package
For estate plans that include advanced trust planning, such as Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts, Grantor Retained Annuity Trusts, and Asset Protection Trusts, the cost is typically in the range of $5,000 to $15,000.
We recognize that it can be difficult to pay attorney’s fees all at once, so we offer payment plans to help make estate planning affordable for everyone. If you’d like to speak with one of our attorneys about our estate planning fees in reno, please call to set up a free initial consultation.
